Material Safe Handling Guidelines

Safety comes first at Charter Plastics. The following documents provide guidelines for safe handling of polyethylene pipe. We ask that you become familiar with these documents and review the safe handling procedures of polyethylene with all personnel working with our products.

This document has been prepared by members of the Plastics Pipe Institute as a basic industry guideline for the safe handling of polyethylene pipe.

The purpose of this guide is to provide important safety information on handling, lifting, storing, and installing polyethylene pipe and fittings. By adhering to these and other safety guidelines, it is the sincere hope of PPI and its members that the number of serious accidents and injuries can be kept to a minimum.
